When do we get our game schedules?!?

Every year we get almost daily inquiries from coaches and parents during the month of March wondering why they don't have schedules for April-June yet. We understand that people are anxious and need to plan things like time off of work and non-baseball/softball activities for their children so we do everything in our control to get the schedules out as soon as possible. But, due to the fact that we play the bulk of our games against other leagues, we must work with a district-wide scheduler who is responsible for collecting information on team counts, field availability, travel restrictions and other details from all eight leagues in our district before working with individual leagues to complete the schedule. Understandably, this is a complicated, time consuming process and requires extensive communication between volunteers across the district, all of whom have jobs and lives outside of Little League. While we at Southwest finalize rosters and team counts and start practices in the first week of March, most other leagues don't get to that stage for another week or two. All this is to say, the scheduling process is under way and will be completed as soon as possible, but do not expect to receive them until the last week of March.
